The Challenge: to design new graphics for the classic C.O. Bigelow Apothecary Jar to be sold as a limited-edition item.
C.O. Bigelow and Gen Art hosted a national design competition dubbed the “C.O. Bigelow Apothecary Jar Design Program” which offered visual artists and designers a unique opportunity to design original graphics for its classic C.O. Bigelow Apothecary Jar. Inspiration for artwork followed the brand credo: Honest. Genuine. Trustworthy.
The talented finalists were chosen by Gen Art & C.O. Bigelow’s judging panel which included esteemed art and industry representatives including gallery owner Jonathan LeVine, artist Hunt Slonem, socialite and photographer Stella Schnabel, Chief Creative Officer of MASS Media Stephan Valter, Children’s Museum of the Arts Executive Director Keats Myer, C.O. Bigelow owner Ian Ginsberg and representatives from Gen Art and Bath and Body Works.
