Fresh Faces: JLee Silver

What was the inspiration behind this collection?
The Spring 2010 collection is inspired by the beaches of the Hamptons and sunset colors. There’s a lot of play on texture—the dune grass, the driftwood and the water. It’s a sportswear collection so it really takes you from day to night.

Is there a certain woman who embodies this collection?
Our whole philosophy is that we design things for a real woman. It’s all really relevant in an active women’s’ lifestyle.

Did you listen to any specific albums while designing this collection?
Yes, Santigold. It’s all I listened to and it’ll play in the runway show as well.

Favorite fashion blog?
The Sartorialist

Three things you can’t live without?
My blackberry, coffee and In Style; I’m obsessed with magazines.
